About Altium Wealth Architecture

Altium Wealth Architecture is a Montreal-based multi-family office helping individuals, families, and foundations protect their wealth — and their legacy — for generations to come. Unaffiliated with any bank, financial institution, or product, Altium provides investment management and family office services, as well as an in-house operational platform, allowing them to deliver quality solutions for their clients in a convenient, efficient manner.

After having been acquired by management in 2015, Altium experienced rapid growth and transformation under the helm of the new President and CEO and the team. In 2019 — recognizing the need for a strong online presence, powerful technology, and modern tools —  it was clear that this transformation called for a complete branding and digital overhaul.

Challenges

Recognizing the need for a redefined digital experience and brand identity that better represented who they are both internally and to clients, partners, and prospects, the team approached Teakie to complete a Digital 360.

The main obstacles the firm wanted to overcome were:

  • Website: They were unsatisfied with their current website, as it didn’t properly express the depth of service they provide, or highlight the strength of their team.
  • Branding: Altium’s visual identity — including logo, colours, and imagery — felt dated and didn’t reflect the strength, sophistication, or best-in-class impression they firm carries.
  • Internal tools: The marketing materials and documentation used to communicate internally and externally needed improvement, and the firm wanted to better support their growth objectives with a modern marketing strategy.
  • Digital strategy — While the team recognized the importance of developing their online platform, they wanted to stay true to themselves, leveraging social media and online technology in a selective and tasteful way that communicated their mission, values, and approach.
  • Client experience: The team was seeking enhanced client experience. First and foremost, the goal was to better serve their existing clients and community, whether through communications like email, or via tools such as fillable forms to optimize client touchpoints.

Solutions

To meet their needs, we partnered with the firm to complete a Digital 360 — a complete branding and digital transformation project tailored specifically to their needs.

The first step in their transformation was defining who Altium Wealth Architecture is, what they do, and how they do it. Throughout the Strategy and Positioning, Brand Identify, and Copywriting phases of the Digital 360, we realized it was imperative to find a way to present the firm in an elevated fashion, expressing the essence of what they actually do.

Altium goes beyond investments to protect the clients they serve. They’re a dynamic, multi-faceted firm that balances strength with simplicity, elegance, and sophistication. The Altium Approach — or as they call it, Wealth Architecture — is the strategy they use to provide comprehensive investment and family office services with a highly personalized and attentive approach.

Taking the firm’s unique approach into consideration throughout our time together, we created a digital platform that is aesthetically pleasing, highly functional, and practical for both the business and its clients. We provided a comprehensive solution by taking a deep dive into their business, operations, and strategy to determine an action plan, executed with the collaboration of a global team of talented professionals and Print Shop services. We continue to manage their new identity and digital platform on an ongoing basis with Teakie Care.

Results

In the vast change that came with 2020, Altium continues to operate at full capacity, equipped with the tools and technology in place needed to create an enhanced client experience.

  • A new website: Their new custom website demonstrates Altium’s brand positioning, supports business development, and improves their internal and external communications. The website is so effective that the firm uses it when meeting with potential clients, posting career and job opportunities, sharing their quarterly letter, and more.
  • An improved communication system: With a new automatic email sequence and mailing campaigns boasting real-time analytics (no more manual sending!), the firm now communicates with increased efficiency and analytics.
  • A new digital strategy: A monthly content strategy has improved communications with partners and clients — tailored to the Altium style and approach.
  • New internal tools: New digital tools, such as digital fillable forms compatible with e-signatures allow the team to work extra efficiently with clients, open new accounts, gather information, and more.
  • New marketing materials: A new PowerPoint presentation is especially helpful when meeting with new prospects virtually.
  • A new careers page: A dedicated page shares job opportunities and collects onsite traffic — something that was not possible with their old website.
  • A supportive team: By continuing to work with Teakie as a Teakie Care member, the firm receives ongoing partnership to strategize and implement their digital strategies.

With the foresight to recognize the value of a comprehensive digital strategy, platform, and infrastructure, the firm was able to adapt quickly to a new way of operating, continuing to serve their clients without interruption.

Fun fact: We launched the new Altium digital platform during quarantine (and celebrated with virtual mimosas and chocolate afterwards!).

Colors

While it is good to experiment with colours, it is best to keep a limited colour palette if possible. Specify corporate colours with CMYK or Pantone references to ensure correct colour reproduction once the logo is printed.

Typography

Aw, you’re all Mr. Grumpy Face today. It’s a fez. I wear a fez now. Fezes are cool. Did I mention we have comfy chairs?

Iconography

Beyond Investments

Also let earth years multiply after in days fowl grass place tree fish. Green darkness. Earth thing given they’re, us may above morning.
